The need for a sustainable, lightweight, personal mode of transport has never been higher due to the demands of our environments. The e-scooter is the perfect solution for this, offering a great, eco-friendly alternative to inner city travel.

Our e-scooters do require minimal assembly, normally needing just the handlebars or stem of the e-scooter to be attached. The tools and bolts needed come packaged with the e-scooter.

Your e-scooter has a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. Should something go wrong with your e-scooter within this period, please contact us and we will work to repair or replace as soon as possible.

All orders are sent out within 24 hours after the order is placed, Monday to Friday. If you place an order over the weekend or on Friday, your order will not be dispatched until Monday. Delivered within 3 – 5 working days after dispatch.

How often you need to service your e-scooter will depend on how often you use it. 

If you are using your e-scooter every day we recommend checking it over once a week. Ensure that the tyre pressures are correct, there are no signs of excess wear and tear on key components and that all screws and bolts are securely fastened according to any instructions. 

No. In fact, we recommend charging your battery at every opportunity you can in order to maximise your e-scooters battery life. It is also recommended to aim to keep the battery above 50% for as much of the time as possible, or when left for a prolonged period not being used.

Yes. Like anything with moving parts, bolts can come loose over time. Handlebars should be checked every ride, and you should do a quick check on the allen key bolts for the head unit (on the side of the steerer) and the folding mechanism each week.

Cleaning your e-scooter regularly is a great way to keep it well maintained. We recommend using a lightly damped cloth or toothbrush to wipe away any dust or dirt that has piled up during your ride.

Try not to. Like most electric scooters, Yinke scooters have an IPX5 environmental rating, meaning If you happen to get caught in the rain you’ll be ok. That said, we do not recommend riding in heavy rain or through large puddles of water.

Electrical equipment and water do not go well together, water damage can happen over time and is not covered by the warranty. We suggest drying your scooter if it is wet when arriving home, so moisture doesn’t get into any electrical parts.

Yinke scooters do a better job than most at avoiding flats, thanks to having tubeless tyres. However, although rare, flats are still possible. Always ensure there is sufficient tyre pressure before riding to avoid a flat tire, 37-43 psi for both front and rear tyres is recommended. Yinke scooters also recommends using tyre sealant (Armor-Dilloz Blue) as this works well in tubeless tyres.

We suggest that you keep up to date with all e-scooter laws in New Zealand. These are ever changing and being updated all the time.

Unopened merchandise may be returned within 10 business days of delivery. A 10% restocking fee will be applied for all unopened merchandise upon successful return.

If you refuse the shipment, you will be charged a 10% restocking fee. Yinke Scooters NZ covers the shipping costs completely when originally delivered to you. Should you change your mind after a successful delivery for any reason, it is the customer’s responsibility to cover shipping fees to return the product to Yinke Scooters NZ.

The restocking fee and any other fees related to your return will be deducted from the total refund amount before the refund is complete.
