Warranty & Liability Policy
If you submit a valid claim under this warranty, Yinke Scooters NZ will either repair, replace, or refund at its own discretion. Warranty benefits are in addition to rights provided under New Zealand consumer laws.
Yinke Scooters NZ undertakes that all new electric scooters are warranted to the Original Buyer against manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for the following periods:
Frame: 12-Months
Motor(s) & Controllers: 12-Months
Battery & Display: 12-Months (battery will decrease overtime)
For 12-months starting from the purchase date of your electric scooter, you are covered by our warranty against manufacturing defects. YINKE SCOOTERS NZ will diagnose any problem and ship spare parts free of charge (for successful warranty claims) for self-repair. More complicated repairs can be performed at a Yinke Scooters service partner in your area. Any potential cost for shipping the scooter to a service centre is the responsibility of the purchaser. The costs/inconvenience caused by the loss of use of the product is not covered whilst the warranty procedure takes place.
Terms of Limited Warranty
This limited warranty is not meant to suggest or imply that the scooter cannot be broken or will last forever. It does mean that the scooter is covered subject to the terms of the limited warranty. The purchaser must adhere to the manufacturer’s instruction manual.
Damage resulting from normal wear and tear, including the results of fatigue, is not covered. Fatigue damage is a symptom of the frame being worn out through normal use. It is one kind of normal wear and tear, and it is the owner’s responsibility to inspect his/her scooter. Damage resulting from improper assembly or maintenance, or from the installation of parts and accessories not compatible with the YINKE electric scooter, is not covered. All labour charges for non-warranty servicing are the responsibility of the purchaser.
In the event that the processing of a warranty claim requires shipping, any such shipping charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.
For warranty transportation costs, please contact us at sales@yinkescooters.co.nz.
During the duration of this limited warranty, YINKE SCOOTERS NZ will either repair any defective part or component or, at our option, replace any defective part or component with the same or most nearly comparable model or component then available. YINKE SCOOTERS NZ reserves the right to decline any warranty claim if the above conditions are not met.

Customers Responibility
As the purchaser, you are responsible for the performance and maintenance of your device. You may be denied a warranty claim if routine maintenance cannot be determined. In particular, you may be denied warranty coverage if the product or a component has failed due to abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or unapproved modifications.
Routine maintenance includes but is not limited to checking and replacing brake pads, brake rotors, tires, inner tubes (when applicable), tightening and/or replacing screws, proper charging and storage, and checking the battery casing isn’t damaged. Some of these component parts should be routinely checked and replaced based on the owner’s usage and are not constructed or intended to last the lifetime of the scooter.

Our liability shall under no circumstances exceed the actual amount paid (ex GST) by you for the defective product, nor shall we under any circumstances be liable for any consequential, incidental, special or punitive damages or losses, whether direct or indirect.
The purchaser hereby acknowledges and agrees, and represents and warrants to YINKE SCOOTERS NZ that:

Any alteration or modification of the scooter through use or misuse, whether intentional or accidental, can result in malfunction of the scooter and/or harm to the user.
c) the purchaser will use, and will cause others to use, the scooter purchased from YINKE SCOOTERS NZ in accordance with all New Zealand’s laws, rules, and regulations. The user will not operate or use the scooter in any location or in any manner that is prohibited, illegal, and/or a nuisance to others.
